Story

After losing both legs in a tragic accident, Rüdi refuses to give up on his dream. With his friend Lars by his side, he embarks on a daring mission to sail the entire Mediterranean coast. From Gibraltar in Spain, along the coast of France and Monaco to Palermo in Italy. Nearly 4,000 kilometers in 30 days.
That means 10 to 12 hours of sailing every day in all conditions. And all this in a confined space of 2 x 2 meters. In addition to the wind and waves, the physical and mental challenges seem impossible to overcome.
Will he make it to the finish line?

Review on outnow.ch

Of course, there are many moments on the open sea in the movie Headwinds. Between high seas and stormy weather, the two men on their small boat are often at the limit of what is possible. And yet, the movie doesn't just draw its appeal from these action scenes. The people behind the scenes, the helpers in the second row, the teamwork and the openness with which they deal with disappointment, anger and pain are very compelling and touching.

“Very exciting movie. Very motivating and inspiring.”

“The movie shows how people from different situations and backgrounds can achieve great things together.”

“Exciting from beginning to end. Great emotions told in beautiful images!”
